Laurine Roux
Poet and novelist born in 1978, she also teaches literature at a middle school. Her work has been widely acclaimed, earning numerous literary awards for the unique power of her storytelling, particularly for Le Sanctuaire (2020), L’autre moitié du monde (2022), and Sur l’épaule des géants (2022). Deeply attuned to places and landscapes, her writing is rich with imagery, with nature playing a central role. She lent her pen to imagine the landscape-inspired scent of Indian Leather, confiding that she has always dreamed of becoming a perfumer.
